The new 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is an all-electric EV that's built with a special artificial soundtrack to help make you feel like you're driving in a more familiar gasoline-powered Hyundai model. In the spirit of full disclosure, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will cost around $67,000, which is about $34,000 more than the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5. That means the price is higher than a mid-level luxury gas-powered model from an upscale car maker like Mercedes-Benz although the Ioniq 5 N will have better acceleration.
Like the standard Ioniq 5, the driving range is limited in the Ioniq 5 N compared to a similar gas-powered SUV. Here's some more detail about how this new electric vehicle will work once it arrives at Fred Beans Hyundai of Flemington in Flemington, NJ.

The powertrain
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is equipped with an 84-kilowatt battery and, according to the editors at Car and Driver, has a driving range of only 190 miles before the battery completely loses its charge. That's one factor to keep in mind if you're used to the 400 miles of driving range in the average gas-powered vehicle. The standard 10.9-kilowatt onboard charging system can work with a Level 2 home charger if you make the investment to have one installed in your garage. It will take about 7 hours and 20 minutes to reach a 100% charge on a 10.9-kilowatt 240-volt AC charger. That's obviously a lot more time than the five minutes it takes to fill up a comparable gas-powered Hyundai SUV at a gas station but it's something to keep in mind with any electric vehicle.

Interior highlights
The interior of the Ioniq 5 N is spacious and comfortable, in a way that's similar to that of the regular Ioniq 5. In addition, Hyundai has included some performance-oriented features to help create a unique experience. Firmly bolstered front seats help you stay in place if you do high-speed cornering around Edison or Hackettstown. There's also a steering wheel with buttons that access the Ioniq 5 N's drive modes and regenerative braking systems as well as Hyundai's N Grin Boost feature.

Exterior highlights
The front bumper of the Ioniq 5 N has been chiseled out in order to allow for a higher level of brake and battery cooling. Hyundai has beefed up the fender flares to better match the 21-inch forged aluminum wheels and Pirelli tires. In the back, the Ioniq 5 N has brake ducts, an enlarged spoiler and a diffuser that's located under the bumper.
