What is the Light Duty Plug-in Electric Vehicle Rebate Program?
Customers will receive up to $5,000 when they purchase or lease an all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle in New Jersey with an MSRP below $55,000. This rebate will equal $25.00 per mile of electric-only range, up to the $5,000 per vehicle maximum.
Who is eligible for the rebate?
Consumers who buy or lease an eligible vehicle in New Jersey after January 17, 2020 qualify and can apply for the rebate online.
Where do I apply for the rebate?
Customers can fill out an application on the Consumer Post-Purchase Rebate Portal, expected to launch in Spring 2020. Once approved, customers will receive payment directly from The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities/Center for Sustainable Energy. The dealership will NOT be responsible for payment
